Amazing, just like the show. A definite must-read to get the real, in depth back stories.

There's not much point writing about George R. R. Martin's story – everyone knows it's a page turner with millions of fans. Totally agree this is worth buying.

So let's discuss the product: it's very nicely put together – beautiful design and box set, so far the books have been durable enough to not split despite some rough treatment. Text size is on the smaller side, but I like that in my books.

The only negative is that from about Book 3 onwards the books have low-frequency editing mistakes – paragraphs that break in the middle for no reason and spaces between words missing. It's frequent enough for you to notice it's a problem (and drive you slightly barmy if you're obsessive about writing errors), it's not frequent enough for me to say it's rubbish and return it.

At the end of the day I'd still buy it again, so what does that say-

I have been an avid fan of the show since its beginning, after watching the red wedding this week I realized I need to be a little more informed of what is going on, an epic show comes from an epic book, cant wait to get into the first book and read about Ned and the Starks, when life was better lol

My husband was over the moon when he got this for Christmas and now he can't wait to get into reading it. :D

These books are AMAZING! I couldn't put them down, and I can't wait for the next one! <3

Political strife, blood-soaked conflicts with pen and steel, and witty banter that never fail to amuse; this series is a must for those with a taste for medieval fantasy with gloves off.

If you watch the series, I highly recommend reading the books for the deeper story. 4 stars only as the pages are really small so a little annoying to hold.

Die Hard Game of Throne watchers will love reading the books. I have learnt so many new things that I didn't pick up in the TV programs.

This series is one of the best I have read, cant wait for the next books.

Not for everyone, but they are extremely interesting for the right reader. The set is very convenient too.

Having watched season DVDs 1 & 2, certainly have me hooked, and there are slight differences in the books that make things a bit clearer than watching the DVDs again.
