When Simona Fiorello is orphaned, she is put in the care of her aunt, a nun at the Convent Ignatius. As she grows into a beautiful young woman she is ready to make her own way in the world and jumps at the chance of housekeeping for Father Antonio's friend. But Andrea Baglione is not only a wealthy landowner but a devastatingly handsome young man.
Concetta was born in the south of Italy in 1939. She was raised in a small village called Mazzarra S'Andrea which is situated at the foot of one of the many mountains in Sicily. She was the sixth child of a family of nine children. Married in 1957, she moved to England in 1960 and was then blessed with three children of her own. She has lived in Cambridge for the last 39 years and, although England is her home now, Sicily is never far from her thoughts and she visits her native home every year. Concetta enjoys reading and of course writing, the fruit trees and wildlife in her garden, but most of all, she enjoys the company of her five grandchildren.
