Author Biography:

Fiona Macdonald graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in history before going on to research and teach social history. She has contibuted to TV programmes and spent some time as a freelance researcher and picture researcher. In the last 15 or so years Fiona has been a full-time write and consultant. She estimates that she has probably wirtten over 300 books for people of all ages on a variety of different subjects, though she specialises in history.
