"DAYUM! these are nice brushes"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have had a few ‘good’ brushes and while yes they have been good that goodness goes away, even if you look after them, but so far these brushes are my absolute favourites, the control that you get and the prescion is just mind bogglingly good! get them and see for your self

"Not as good as you’d think"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Heard lots of great things about these brushes. But have to admit wasn’t overly impressed. The bristles started to spread after a week. Raphael and Broken Toad much better quality. Wish Mighty Ape would stock them

"Fantastic brush for miniature painting"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

There's a reason everyone recommends these. Absolutely amazing brush, and worth the price once you have built up some skills. If you are just starting out, buy something a little cheaper but once you are comfortable painting, get one of these. You won't regret it!

Description

Winsor & Newton Series 7 Brush (0)

Image depicts sizing chart. Product is a single Winsor & Newton Series 7 Brush

The world's finest watercolour brush, manufactured by hand, from only the finest pure Kolinsky Sable hair, in rust-proof, seamless nickel plated ferrules with black polished handles.

The standard of quality for this brush was set in 1866, when Her Majesty Queen Victoria gave orders that Winsor & Newton should produce the very finest watercolour brushes in her favourite size; the No.7.

Point – the brush comes to a crisp point which is maintained during use.

Snap and Spring – the brush snaps brisply back into shape with the right degree of spring to allow the artist superior control between the brush and painting surface.

Flow Control – the colour flows evenly and consistently from the point, with enough colour carrying capacity in the belly of the brush to allow flowing gestural strokes.

For artists who appreciate exquisite quality and longevity, there is no other brush than the Series 7. Today, just as in 1866, the Series 7 is made for those who understand that the quality of the brush will be reflected in the quality of their work.
