I found that it worked significantly better with rechargeable batteries compared to standard disposable ones. I use it once or twice a day to froth milk for coffee and it took about 2 months until I noticed the batteries needed to be recharged (I use Eneloop). It stands perfectly anywhere and doesn't take up any unnecessary space.
When installing batteries, the positive and negative ends aren't explicit but it's only a matter of trial and error which doesn't take long to figure out. The on/off button is very sensitive so there have been a few moments of milk splattering everywhere.
Pretty good for $12. It hasn't shown any signs of breaking yet but I'd definitely purchase it again if I need to.
