Unlike Shogun 2 the UI for the map in campaign mode is hard to pick up right off the bat and the province system takesa bit of getting used to. But battles are great with the enemy AI being more ruthless than ever… Sadly the short movies for a spy going into assassinate a general only to splash into a puddle are gone and the small cut scene of your general's speech is all but history, Rome 2 is a great addition to the Total War franchise. Would have 5 stars but because of their dodgy start full of bugs it lost one.
