Description

Well known rugby pundit George Hook gives his considered opinion on the last 60 years of Irish rugby: the greatest ever players, the heroes and villains, the highs and lows. Is Brian O'Driscoll a better player than the great Jack Kyle? Who would George not like to meet down a dark alley late at night? And who would he bring with him for support? This book will give readers plenty to ponder as George nails his colours to the mast and picks his greatest ever fly halves; his team of the professional and amateur eras and the greatest tries ever scored in an Ireland jersey. Was Shane Horgan's try against England at Croke Park in 2007 the pick of the bunch? And where does the future lie for Irish rugby? George outlines why the Rugby World Cup went so horribly wrong in 2007 and 2011, and casts a glance back over his career as a rugby broadcaster - when he got it right and when he got it hopelessly wrong! As always George's opinion will divide opinions everywhere.
