Toy manufacturer Clifford Groves is well-respected and in control at the factory, but his relationship with his wife and children leaves him feeling neglected and unnecessary. When Clifford has a chance meeting with an ex-girlfriend, Norma, it seems that a bit of harmless flirtation is exactly the antidote Clifford needs to forget his loneliness. But after his son sees them together and suspects the worst, Clifford is forced to face his future.
