I didn't dig the second instalment of this movie as much as the first. There were two reasons for this: firstly, Tom Burlinson (my first ever crush) was too made up – he had bleached hair and a dodgy tan. Secondly, it suffers from the tragedy that a lot of sequels do – this follows on the footsteps of a massive story (the epic ‘Man From Snowy River’ poem, Banjo Patterson) – and this follow up doesn't cover the bases that the previous one does. One thing that I think was wrong was that the protagonist gets the girl very early on in the movie – ‘The Chase’ is over in the first 20 minutes!! The rest of it is really good – images of burgeoning Australia, great horse chase footage, beautiful scenery – it's just a bugger that Tom won Sigrid so early on !! Maybe I'm just jealous it wasn't me though :)
