First introduction to the game your plunged straight into the frozen world, as you get control of your character you start to learn how to play the game and the various actions you can preform, all in a stunning starting sequence.

As the game rolls on you get to branch out and kinda do your own thing, you can explore as you like, quest when you want, put things off till the bitter end, it doesn't matter really, the game waits for you to be ready. Early into the main quest you fight your first dragon and I won't spoil it but I will say its excellent.

There is more incentive to delve into dungeons, with word walls being hidden in their depths for you to uncover and become more powerful. The game play, well I've been playing for days and I still have a long way to go. The fights are brilliant. The leveling system starts you out easy then gets challenging as you get up the levels.

The game has so much depth; so many quests. Dragons respawn at their lairs, they appear at random in the wild and other creatures also respawn over time. Not having to choose a class gives you freedom to level whatever skills you want to play with and be rewarded for it. Sadly the level cap is 50 otherwise we could have had some very healthy adventurers

Oh and dragons level with you, so as you get stronger, the dragons remain a challenge to bring down.

Overall, I'm still VERY satisfied with this game! I highly recommend it. A stunning piece in the Elder Scrolls game series. The guide book is also a good companion for this game you will think is well spent

After playing and enjoying Oblivion thoroughly – I was eager to try out Skyrim, I'd read all the online previews and pre release game footage and needless to say I was excited. The game is so worth it, it's basically a piece of art. The graphics are absolutely stunning even on lowest settings, from the high mountain peaks, frozen oceans and rolling grasslands. Elder scroll games have a certain feel that make you get sucked in straight away. You get emerged by the radiant story system, npc AI and the simple yet exciting story lines. What I truly love about Skyrim is you can do what you want when you want. I've clocked at least 80 hours of gameplay and still haven't completed half of the main quest. It truly is the best warrior, adventurer, stealth, archer, assassin and mage game on the market. It combines everything wonderfully. My only complaint is that it uses steam to run, which for me is a downside, it means you have to have an internet connection to run it half the time and it's constantly updating but thats a small worry considering how amazing the game is. I recommend it to absolutely anyone, RPG enthusiasts and first time gamers.

When I first loaded this up and played I thought it was just a slightly better looking version of oblivion. As I played I realised it had a lot more variety and after I added a few mods it looked better and better. The Essential mods I used are:

• FXAA Post processing injector
• Nexus mod manager – then using “skyrimnexus.com” and “download with manager” its hassle free to add mods:

SkyUI Skyrim_HD_v1_2_FULL- Enhanced Blood Textures Enhanced Distant Terrain Enhanced Night Skyrim Improved rock and mountain textures Realistic Smoke and Embers Realistic Water Textures Skyrim Flora Overhaul

I used the ultra or 4096 versions of all these mods and my i5 2500k, 8GBRam, GTX570 handled it without overclocking.

This Game has great garphics, even when you are on low quality and with all the mods out on the nexus and steam workshop you will never get bored. And also with the release of the new DLC Dawnguard the skyrim experience just gets better

So if you want a great game, get this now

Great game. Worth every cent.

I've never played a game this rich or full before. If you've ever played a first person Sword and Sorcery Adventure and liked it, you'll enjoy this. Only things you may find as frustrations (i) You need to join up online to Steam before you can play, I had difficulty finding some of the misions, spending hours trying to find a path to the top of a mountain for example, and it requires a pretty powerful set up to run without delays. But you'jj still love it.

Best RPG I have ever played. Beautiful graphics, easy-to-use controls, and a storyline that YOU get to choose. I game I can easily play over and over again.

Got this games on PS3 and loved it. I gotta get on PC now because of all the mods it is a must have for any RPG gamer!

Its not really just a game, its a life-time experience. Get it on PC, the steam workshop community is amazing and easy to navigate.

The game is fun and an awesome play, totally worth it in everyday. I wanted it since I started watching Toby Turners Youtube channel TobyGames, where he plays Skyrim and many other games that are popular. I found it hilarious and awesome and just had to get my hands on it!

Awesome game, whilst my favourite is still Morrowind, it is another great title in the Elder Scrolls franchise. My only gripe is that it requires steam, and also was surprised how cpu intensive this game is, kinda wish I had brought the i5–2500k now instead of just the i5–2500

I know by now everyone has been raving about this and pulling holes in it. But it is a great new iteration on the Elder Scrolls world. stunning graphically and Expanisive game play as we have come to expect from Bethesda

Words can not describe the AWESOMENESS that is skyrim, pc version is the best since you can pump up up the graphics even more to what the game allows with a few mods that is

skyrim is an almost perfect rpg, a few bugs scarrtered about but thats to be expected i guess and the longer its out the more patches will fix problems. I would not hesitate to recommend this game to any rpg fan.

By far this is one of my favourite games of all time. The graphics are amazing!. Any one who enjoys RPG's has to buy this

What a Beautiful looking game the “world” is breath taking, jam packed full of scenery and wildlife,plants, and enemies. " they done a brilliant job in this area". Oh and the Dragons WOW.

The game is addictive to play just to see what is around the next corner, Combat is well done and fun.

One thing I am finding disappointing so far though is a problem I noticed when I played Elder Scrolls Morrowind many years ago, and that is that there does not seem to be enough variety in shields,weapons and armor, there are dozens of potions, spells, ingredients, types of arrows, but the armor,weapons and shields all seem to be basically the same except for a very few special items, “I do not know how far I am into the game and if the items get better, but I have played over 40 hours so far”. Also there are not many places to sell things, and the shops that you can, either have not enough money to buy more than a few things from you, or give you little for certain items " like who wants to carry a pile of heavy furs around that are valued from $10 to $50 and when you go to sell them you only get around $2 to $8", so hunting soon goes out the window as it is a waste of time.

This game is leaps and bounds above Morrowind , but the above things are the reason I stopped playing Morrowind as it became boring because there was no excitement of getting that special weapon or armor " like Diablo 2 ", and I am starting to get that same feeling already in this game.

Other than that it is a great game, for the world alone to explore.

This game is amazing you don't have to have even played a elder scroll game before you can just jump strait in.

The storyline is pretty much the same as every game though “you are the only one who can save the world” but what I like is the fact there is stuff going on while this is happening like a civil war and people don't even notice giant dragons flying around.

But all in all it is a great game and is a must for any gamer.

This game is so much fun, there is so much to do, quests everywhere and just an overall stunning game. I got this on PC as opposed to console – lets face it, no mouse on a game like this is a huge handicap.

The game is huge in terms of travel and where you can go, there is a wide variety of enemies and an almost endless combination of ingredients you can find around the world to create potions. The level system is smart and you gain levels is certain areas as you play (provided you use that technique a lot), it's a long road to leveling your character.

Its very different from other RPG's i've played where you need to be a certain level to go to areas or go off and grind mobs to get stronger. No grinding, No specific leveling, just go where ever you want to go and do what you want.

There is a main story (quest) but with about 70 quests in my ‘to do list’ and probably several hundred more to discover when I talk to people, this game will keep me going for an extremely long time. And FF13–2 comes out tomorrow! zomg!

Love it. It's GOTY. No arguments.

This is an awesome game with great service. I did find that my power supply blew up when I first tried playing though so I got a new one (500w) and now runs sweet my old one was a 450W

Love the freedom that you have in skyrim, and also that the land is so massive. I am not a big gamer and usually get games that are a couple of years old, but this game rocks.

The game is fairly robust and set the standards for “open world” in a Tolkien like fantasy, to big stories in the game are the Dragons and the Civil War. The mods that customize the game available from Nexus makes this worthwhile, there are frozen tundra mods that make surviving the snow a challenge, improved enemy tactics mods, improving the Civil War and companion mods such as the “Vilja” mod that set high standards in script writing and are much improved on from the original game companions.

A must have game!!!!! Beware many hours of life will be lost playing this game

The story is good and the visuals are nice though aside from those, i have found there are quite Alot of things that could really benefit from a patch update.

Items inside closed areas tend to fly around the room giving an infinite clanking sound when walking into an Inn, There are some quest chains i have found to be broken and cannot be completed as a result, the shadow rendering can look pretty bad at times they are also rendered by your CPU not GPU which can be a performance hit, some textures don't appear on some objects now and then and they can appear blue, the game can crash (sometimes quite often) to the desktop without any errors displayed.

I don't think these problems could be due to my system as i don't seem to be the only one experiencing these issues, I'm running as follows: Windows Vista Ultimate, Core2 3ghz, 6gig ram, GTX 560 (latest drivers)

I would love to rate this game a 5/5 but until the problems are fixed id give it a 3/5.

Very, very good game, great graphics, great storyline, and with mods, even better!!!

Worst game I've brought in the past 5 years. Combat system is slow and ancient, and quests are boring and the menu was far more complicated then it needed to be.
