"Great easy recipes :-)"

As a vegetarian this book has lots of recipes or ones that can be easily adapted to even Vegan. Zoe (the co writer) was a veggie and has some really good recipes that cut out carbs/sugar as well as making sure you feel satisfied. I now look forward to food shopping and have been known to have that ‘smug feeling’ thinking I'm one of the chosen people with this new secret to life!!!

Description

From the bestselling author of That Sugar Book 'My hope is that one day consuming less sugar will not be thought of as a diet or a meal plan but will simply be known as eating.' Following on from the runaway success of Damon Gameau's That Sugar Film and That Sugar Book, this is the book that brings the sugar-free message into the home and onto the family table. With 80 everyday low-sugar recipes by passionate home cook Zoe, That Sugar Guide will show you how to easily transition from sugary processed food to real food. The book is divided into two parts. The 'Bridging Week' offers accessible science and friendly advice on cutting back on the white stuff, plus recipes to help your body and palate adjust to a new, exciting and healthy way of living. The 'Consolidation Phase' is your manual for long-term healthy eating for you and your family. Fun, friendly and fact-filled, this is a book that teaches us to choose, cook, eat and love the sort of food that will nourish our bodies and sustain our health, not for weeks or months, but for life.

Author Biography

Damon Gameau released his first feature film, That Sugar Film, in 2015. It went on to become the highest-grossing Australian documentary of all time across Australia and New Zealand. The film has also picked up a host of awards around the world, including the AACTA award (the 'Aussie Oscars') for Best Documentary. The accompanying book, That Sugar Book, became a bestseller and has since been published in more than 15 countries and eight languages around the world. Damon has a passion for health, especially helping the next generation to understand the importance of eating well. Zoe Gameau has enjoyed a successful career in the entertainment industry for more than 12 years. Working closely behind the scenes with Damon on That Sugar Film - and then witnessing how the message resonated with the audience - inspired her to help people find practical ways to make positive changes to their health. This is Zoe's first foray into recipe writing. She and Damon live in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, with their daughter, Velvet.
