Tamiya 58548 1/10 RC Radio Control Car Series No.548 Subaru BRZ R & D Sports (TA06 chassis) assembly kitset.
Subaru created the Subaru BRZ R&D Sport race car for the GT300 racing class during the 2012 Super GT season. The BRZ from Team R&D Sport features a 2-liter turbocharged boxer 4-cylinder engine capable of over 300hp, a 4-wheel double wishbone suspension actuated via pushrods, and a sleek body shape form with flared front/rear fenders, rear diffuser, and large rear wing.
The polycarbonate body reproduces the car's aggressive, low form with wide front and rear fenders, the rear diffuser and a large rear wing. The model boasts advanced aerodynamics. Side mirrors depicted with separate parts for enhanced realism. The car numbers, sponsor markings and logos can be depicted with included stickers. The 4WD TA06 chassis features an excellent balance and its layout positions the motor and battery pack along the centerline of the chassis. It is powered via a distinctive Dual-Drive System with belt-driven front and gear-driven rear wheels. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features a refined Inboard Front Suspension setup with short reversible suspension arms. The front and rear gearboxes are both equipped with gear differential units to provide superb traction and acceleration. In addition, it comes equipped with 24mm width racing slick tires mounted on mesh wheels.
The Tamiya 1/10 scale Radio Control replica is matched up to Tamiya's 6th generation intermediate class 4WD touring car platform. The TA-06 features a four-wheel drive system that uses a clever combination of belts and gears to provide the best of both technologies.
