A classic Japanese RPG filled with gag sketches, dialogue and good old fashioned grinding. Only 4 stars because it is pretty generic at some points. But overal a very fun game to play.

I'm a big fan of the Tales series, and was really looking forward to this when it came out. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy my time with the game.
The game is made overly difficult, with the strength of your characters relying on a convoluted equipment/skill system that's never really explained very well, rather than a simple EXP based system. This would be fine for more difficult parts of the game, like the End Game dungeon or NG+ with a harder difficulty, but when you're just trying to get through the story it becomes a headache.
On a more nit-picking note, releasing the game on both the PS3 and the PS4 never really made full use of either console. The PS3 struggles with frame-rate, whereas the PS4 is left with huge areas devoid of things them interesting.
Great game
