"A GREAT and challenging game!"
5 stars"

I liked this game a lot, I played it single player from start to finish and it was very addictive. The final boss battle was hard but afterwards I was relieved to have finished the game, I'm planning to play it again sometime. Great game! Buy it!

"Why didn't people give this a shot-"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Great game, innovative in some areas but others didn't push the envelope as much as I would of hoped!

Can be buggy and unstable at times an without a patch coming it can undo a levels worth of progress.

It is what it is.

A great new take on a post modern shooter

"One of the best games I have played"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Syndicate is a fun game to play. Single player lasts about 8 hours. It's short but fun,!! In no time at all you 'll be corrupting hapless foes to do you bidding. Game play was great(I played on a dual core MacBook with win7) but there were times the fun of the game was plagued by lag issues…mainly the result do the graphical flaring. Overall a fantastic game and a lot of fun.

"An interesting take on the Syndicate universe"
4 stars"

Haven't played much of it yet but what I have so far has been pretty fun. Nothing groundbreaking that I've seen but as long as you're enjoying the game what does it really matter-

"Bland, linear Deux Ex III knock-off."
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Here are the bullet points:

  • BAD XBox 360 port. The game thinks you have an XBox controller plugged in when you don't (e.g. prompts to “press RT to continue” – WTF–). And yes, this confusion is because I happen to have a Logitech G13 keyboard plugged in. NO EXCUSES FOR LAZY PORTING!
  • Lacklustre, forgettable plot.
  • Cookie-cutter format – think Deux Ex III but with less atmosphere, dialogue, depth, freedom, plot.
  • Soul destroyingly repetitive boss fights where the only successful tactics are Google and luck.
  • The main gimmick of the game – Chip powers like Persuade, Suicide, Backfire – have only short lived appeal. They are repetitive and tedious to use also.

I'd like to give this game two stars out of five, but I can't think of any unique or redeeming aspects to it, so I give it only one. This is simply a generic FPS game that seems to be trying to cash in on our nostalgia for classic titles of old, such as the excellent genre-changing Bullfrog game of the same name.

"Horrid wates of money"

"Be careful" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Be careful that you have access to a secure internet connection as you need one to get into origin (cannot be proxy ) otherwise good game just annoying because of origin

"Nothing special"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Starbreeze managed to take what was a great rts and turn it into rather understated fps.

"Excellent!"

Excellent first person shooter. Closer to being an arcade version of Deus Ex than anything resembling the original isometric view Syndicate games but still excellent as is.
