Sisters
Two sisters decide to throw one last house party before their parents sell their family home. Disconnected for many years, sisters Kate and Maura Ellis are summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house, much to their dismay. Looking to recapture their glory days, they decide to throw one final high school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch a ground-down adults really need.
Critic Reviews:
- " Not only does it pack in the laughs but it also manages to find sweeter moments reflecting on the idea of accepting the loss of youth. " – Joseph Walsh
- " Pell's script, inspired in no small way by her own relationship with her own sister, is so smart, so genuine, as crazy as things might get the human saga at the center remains pure and realistically heartfelt no matter what. " – Sara Michelle Fetters
- " The party and the script both run too long – getting a little sloppy toward the end – but the laughs along the way are genuine, and Fey and Poehler sell their characters' arcs as the tender heart of this buddy comedy. " – Lauren Chval
