Originally domesticated in Southwest Asia, China, and Europe, pigs were valuable and easy to please thanks to their adjustable nature and status as omnivores. Currently, in some countries, pigs help in finding truffles with their sensitive snouts. In other countries, people keep pigs as pets, raising them indoors or outdoors.
