As expected a great action movie with Liam Neeson
In the beginning, Neeson's character hardly deserved any sympathy but he was seen to be a good family man despite his underworld faults (an “enforcer”). Plenty of realistic action with a view of the seedy side of NYC corruption keeps your interest throughout. Neeson's character was very well developed and we saw the good side of a bad man so that, by the end, he was the sympathetic hero. Very nicely wrapped-up at the end to close the movie. As a well made movie, this one has to be highly recommended!
Run All Night
An aging hit man is forced to take on his brutal former boss to protect his estranged son and his family.
Longtime hit man Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson), best friend of mob boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris), has seen better days. He's haunted both by the sins of his past and a police detective who's been breathing down his neck for 30 years, and the only comfort Jimmy has is whiskey. However, when his estranged son (Joel Kinnaman) becomes a mob target, Jimmy figures that the only way to atone for his past mistakes is to make sure that his son doesn't wind up at the wrong end of a gun.
