Cooperatively designed by the UK and Italy and introduced in 1999, the AugustaWestland Merlin is the most technologically sophisticated helicopter currently in Royal Navy service.
In its anti-submarine warfare role the Merlin is equipped with a host of sophisticated sensors including sonar, radar, dip buoys, and other powerful searching tools. Once spotted, the Merlin engages submerged submarines with acoustic homing Stingray Torpedoes and depth charges. Kit features torpedoes, rescue winch, movable rotors, detailed interior, lots of modeling options, and decals for two versions.
