Red Faction: Armageddon reviews

I give this game an average rating but think it was quite good because there were some good parts but most of it I thought was very average. I have the predecessor this game and finished it, and I thought was an excellent game. This one did not have the same flexibility on where you could go and the story line was somewhat linear I thought. Someone else might have a better opinion than me but I thought this was fairly average overall.

Red Faction had a great storyline to it. The gameplay was also very well designed, and great to play. The game was a great buy at it's sale price, but I wouldn't buy it for the original price. However I loved the extended gameplay, like ruin mode and infestation. And how you can redo the campaign with your upgrades and such when you ended it. And the multiplayer is rather fun to play with other friends and try to survive waves of the aliens!

All in all, great game, but I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it.

Cool game, quite fun destroying the structures then can reconstruct them afterwards, good features, lots to do.

I am a big fan of the Red Faction series ever since the first one came out back in the early 2000's. The third Red Faction was great. Destructible environments with some awesome weapons at your disposal. This one gave us the chance to rebuild destroyed structures like bridges and walls to help us during the story but the removal of the free roam aspect did let me down quite a bit. Now that THQ has been shut down and Nordic Games have bought the IP, I hope they do a reboot or an another game in the series.

An entertaining game to play, favorite weapon is the hummer for sure.

Honestly to start with I though it was just horrible – but I did finish the main game and it gets better. Its passable and has some cool gun mechanics and some character upgrades of some interest but it really doesn't live up to its direct predecessor.

Awesome setup in the game, you can upgrade your stats and even add defensive or offensive attributes to your lineup, once you unlock a weapon, you can store it, or add it your loadout when ever you come across a weapons station

Enjoyed it as much as previous ones, good to see some original thought rather than just a generic shooter
