I thoroughly enjoyed this movie right from the start. Interesting story line, characters, plenty of action, and a bit of a lesson to be learned without being too overly obvious.
Well done

This movie has so many levels of appeal there must surely be something for everyone. Hugh Jackman is terrific as the hunky feckless anti-hero, Evangeline Lilly (recently seen in The Hobbit, Pt 2) holds a beautifully believable balance between tough and compassionate, and Dakota Goyo is simply cool. And, of course, there's Atom (won't spoil it for you by saying more!) The near-future storyline is chock full of humanity and action, and no small measure of hope. This movie was a hit with the whole family, and we're really looking forward to the sequel.
My son was very excited to watch this movie, and we weren't disappointed. Great family viewing!
Enter the not-so-distant future where boxing has gone high-tech 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots have taken over the ring.Starring Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter turned small-time promoter, Real Steel is a gritty, white-knuckle action ride that pulls no punches. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback. Visually stunning and complete with knockout bonus material, Real Steel is a pulse-pounding, inspirational adventure filled with heart and soul.
