Re-Animator may be based on a lurid tale from almost a century ago but this film version emerged from the onslaught of (often forgettable) effects horror flicks of the eighties as a modern classic. Loaded with humour, inventive gore and with a trio of perfectly cast ‘heroes’ and a fantastic, sneering villain it has rarely been topped. This is one of those movies that can be tossed on every few months and feel at once as fresh and delightful as it was the day it was released and yet also like a favourite pair of slippers. Great fun.

Well here it is…one of the greatest all time horror comedies you will ever lay your eyes on watching.During the mid 80's producer Brian Yuzna teamed up with director Stuart Gordon to bring to the big screen a movie unlike anything anyone had seen before,the story of Herbert West,a man who's somewhat wacky experiments had created a serum that could reanimate the dead,however with rather unfortunate side effects.Any film buff who is a fan of actor Jeffery Combs will revell in one of if not his greatest performance ever as the out of control if not sane Herbert West,not to mention the absolute insane performance givien by the late David Gale as another crazed scientist hell bent on stealing West's incredible discovery.With enough blood guts and gore to go into overdrive horror fans be ready..Reanimator is still the benchmark of what great film making is all about and believe me,you will rave about this film to just about everybody you see after watching it,followed by 'The Bride of Reanimator" and the once again over the top and brilliant “Beyond Renimator” Get your friends together,turn of the lights,turn up the volume and get ready to get blowen away by one of the most original,intense and funny motion pictures your senses will ever take in.
