"The world according to Lestat - awesome film!"
5 stars"

Although titled “Queen of the Damned”, this film is the result of a very successful combination of the second book in the series, “The Vampire Lestat” and the third book, “Queen of the Damned”. The only grumble I have with this film is that they have changed Lestat's creator from Magnus (in the books) to Marius. This doesn't make sense to me.

This film is very different from the previous one, “Interview with the Vampire”, as this one is seen from the perspective of Lestat, (not Louis), who thinks very highly of himself. Stuart Townsend effectively brings life to the undead Lestat, making him darker and more playful than in his previous incarnation.

Ultimately it is a great film. Visually stunning. Awesome soundtrack. Fantastic acting. Definitely a film that merits more than one viewing, if not ten or more! Fans of the vampire genre will enjoy this film.

"Good pick for a movie night"
3 stars"

If this was the sequel to Interview With The Vampire, you could've fooled me. Unless it was printed on the case cover telling you that it is – which it is – you just never would have known. On an overall basis this film is excellent, but I wish it was done more to the interview with the vampire style to show the two had a connection. Instead the style is more along the lines of Blade. Stuart Townsend is ever sexy though and Aaliyah plays the vampiress frightfully well. All in all I would say its a good pick for a movie night.

"The movie made me a 'Lestat' Fan for life!!! I want more!!!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

If you are a vampire movie fan, then this movie is for you…Great portrayal of Lestat & his creator…Great Story…I have watched this over & over & totally enjoy the movie every time. This comes into my top five horror movies alongside Underworld, Underworld Evolution & Interview with a Vampire. Townsend is the perfect Lestat!! A definite MUST SEE for all vampire fans.

The Mother Of All Vampires
All She Wants Is Hell On Earth

The vampire Lestat has been sleeping for one hundred years: and now the music of a new generation has awoken him. Seizing the power of the music. Lestat becomes the closest thing to a God on earth - a rock star. But his new found celebrity breaks the most sacred rule of vampyrdom - remaining anonymous. Soon vampires from the far reaches of earth come out of the darkness to hunt him down and destroy him. But Lestat's hypnotic Gothic rock music has had an even more nefarious impact-it has awoken the Queen of all Vampires, the oldest and most powerful vampire in history - Akasha (Aaliyah) - and she wants an alliance or death.
