"A visual spectacular"
4 stars"

The story line is pretty basic, but oh the scenery and visual aspect of it, the bigness, it's beautiful. The adventuring is wild, exciting and sometimes scary (for me the free climbing). Wish I had watched it on 3d, do it if you can. I didn't see the original but enjoyed this and recommend if you like a wild adventure this is the movie for you.

Description

Point Break

In the fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes –led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of a string of inconceivable crimes.

The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.

Critic Reviews

  • " Immersive and unforgettable, Point Break is wholly sensory, filling every pore, tingling every muscle with unspoken exhilaration so as to leave you breathless, anxious to complete your own Ozaki Eight. " – Debbie Lynn Elias
  • " This is a high-grade action thriller that – dare I suggest it? – redeems the Point Break brand. And, yes, there's definitely room for a sequel. " – Stephen Romei
  • " An enjoyably dopey actioner best viewed as a homage rather than a remake. Not a barrel ride, but no wipeout either. " – Jane Crowther
