"KING OF THE PIRATES!"
5 stars"

An adventurous journey with over-the-top action and powerful villains that look like characters from a nursery-rhyme book.

This is one of the classics in anime/manga history so pick this one up to add to your essentials! Not your usual anime looking animation but this style of art is the only way to watch Luffy and his crew search for the infamous ONEPIECE!

Comedy, tears and PIRATES!

"The Pirate Adventure Starts Here! One Piece!"
5 stars"

I really. Really enjoy One Piece. I first watched One Piece way back in 2005, when 4kids had gained the rights to dub it. I was more of an English dub fan back then so I was really excited to hear that they were going to dub an Anime about Pirates (though I had never seen One Piece at this stage) I loved Pirates, and Anime… So I was looking forward to seeing it. Boy oh Boy after watching the 4kids dub, I must say I had to go and watch the original Japanese version and man, I prefered the Japanese over the 4kids dub by a mile. Voices and music were better, no crappy edits. Story in-tacked. It was sooo much better. In 2007 when I first heard FUNimation was dubbing it, I jumped up and down because FUNimation was my favourite dubbing company since they dub everything UNCUT with great scripts and voice actors. They did not disappoint either, when I saw the first episode they dubbed (episode 144) I loved it so much, and in 2008 when they announced they were going back to redub it, I was excited and since I have watched the FUNimation dub of One Piece right through. I am usually a Japanese/Eng Sub dude now but One Piece is the one of the only english dub I can sit through. 5 stars for the English dub on this Anime. So if you are in love with an Anime such as DBZ, You should get this Anime. I imported this DVD back in 2008 from America and have since purchased all the DVDs up to Season 3 – Fifth Voyage (Collection 16 when released here) as well as Movie 8 and love everything about it. You could should purchase this from MightyApe today. And enjoy a great Anime about Pirates by the legendary Eiichiro Oda.

"Good start to something great"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

It's a good start and the english version is not a disappointment, with a couple of special features namely audio commentary from the english staff and text-less theme songs.
