Coming from Strong World. Not only is this a great mainstream anime film, this is actually simply a good film.

They really stepped it up. Strong World was nice to begin with but not great. Good voice acting and more proper fights. GREAT cast of characters, where you see the Marines in their finest and you build huge respect and love for a particular Ice man. You will even love the villian(s).

It has meaningful music that is very powerful for One Piece such as the Marine's choir chant. It actually hit me in the feels. This is like Ghibli level crap. A One Piece fan at least has to watch this for that alone. Last but not least, the ending is powerful for a popular anime.

Can't wait for One Piece Film Gold.

Most of the One Piece movies can be a bit weak but this one was enjoyable and had lots of appearances from favourite characters. If you like the Marines, you should definitely get this one.

As quite a fan of the series, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. All be it short in the One Piece sense. But be aware, if you have not pursued the series through to the new world (around episode 450 or so from memory) I strongly recommend waiting for the English dub to catch up, or enjoying the series subtitled online. Every good movie in its context, or it is wasted.
