"The last notebook you'll ever need"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

There are many things that make this Moleskine worth its salt. A lot of people think, “Paper shouldn't cost that much.” If you're one of those people, by the end of this review you may be thinking twice.

Firstly: durability. What I hate about the run-of-the-mill notebooks is that they bend, warp, rip, tear, smudge and whatever else too easily. But, then again, you get what you're paying for. And, with this notebook, that is especially true. To illustrate this point, I once sat on the moleskine without realizing it. I weigh about 80 Kilograms. Most notebooks would barely survive the pressure alone. I happened to be squirming in my seat, all the while not realising I had been sitting on top of it. After all of that, the binding was intact, the pages were pristine and it survived bearing only a minor rip. How many notebooks can handle that kind of stress? I'd wager not too many.

Second: quality. I cannot stress enough how well the pages handle ink and various media. You may have seen the ads where artists display their prowess on them online. But, for someone who can't put together a decent stick man like myself, that may not really matter. I need a notebook where the ink doesn't seep through, with pages that are crisp yet full. For my needs, I can find no other notebook to substitute this product. It's pages are thin but strong and crisp. It handles ink beautifully.

Lastly: Value. There's no question about it. This is expensive. The price itself will put most people off. But, give it a try. You may actually like it, just as I have, and find that you've actually invested in something worth saving– a conclave for your imagination. Although the price it demands is daunting, I suggest trying it out first. As for me, I think for its price, the value could be better but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better alternative.

To sum, if you're someone looking to jot down addresses and phone numbers on the fly, look elsewhere. But, if you've got ideas, dreams and an imagination to nurture, you'd be wasting your time if you think you'll find something better.

"Durable and High Quality Sketchbook"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I've been using Moleskine sketchbooks for over a year now and I cannot recommend them enough. Their price is a hard pill to swallow but they are worth it. The paper has a smooth texture with little tooth and feels very nice to use with ink pens. This sketchbook is best for pencils and ink pens, you can use paint and markers on the paper but it is subject to warping, buckling, and bleeding. Personally, I choose Moleskine for their durability and high quality. I carry my sketchbooks practically everywhere and will use one for at least 6 months and compared to other brands, my Moleskine sketchbooks have aged the best. They stay intact, the cover doesn't flex too much, and the cover is far easier to clean in comparison to sketchbooks with paper/cardboard covers. If you’re one to transport your sketchbook often or if you want to hold onto it for years, I highly recommend Moleskine.
