Having been a Logitech trackball user for many years, I am very pleased with the improvements in the M570 wireless trackball.

The addition of small “forward” and “back” buttons works very well. Definitely an improvement on “point and click”.

The design of the trackball has changed to overcome my one beef with the older models. Trackballs accumulate dirt on the small rotating balls which support the trackball itself making it stiff to use. Previously, it was necessary to disassemble the trackball to clean it, not something that every user feels confident to do.

The new trackball simply pops out to make cleaning easy – well done Logitech!

I have long preferred a trackball because you don't have to chase a mouse around your desk and it is easier of the wrist and fingers.

I spend a lot of time in front of the computer at work. I used to use a normal mouse, but eventually got RSI. I managed to try out this trackball mouse from one of my workmates, and loved it ever since. I now have one at home, and it serves me really well, especially when on my laptop, since I can just rest my hand on the mouse instead of having to cramp up my fingers using the laptop's trackpad.

Note though, that some people find it quite weird not moving their hand to move the mouse cursor on the screen. This means it might take some people a while longer to get used to this mouse.

I have been using it for about 10 days & found far better than a regular mouse. I use a dual screen setup at work and find it far easier to skim around between the screens. Still getting used to not moving mouse around the desk, a good time saver.
