Not only does the movie rock, this Blu-Ray rocks. Ironman is one of the best superhero movie made, its up there with the 2nd Spiderman and the new Batman movies. The picture is stunning, almost too good in places and the audio blows you away. The extras are a real highlight, there are almost enough deleted scenes to make up a whole new movie, there is a entire plot line that takes place very differently in the actual release. Overall, Ironman is a heap of fun, Robert Downey Jr. is perfect in the role as are the rest of the cast. When you watch it, make sure you watch through to the end of the end credits, there is a nice surprise.

A very stylish entry in the canon of superhero movies – and one given the HD treatment it deserves. Detail and contrast splendid; and as the paint job gets sorted for Iron Man, that delicious red sheen confirms a lustrous colour palette as only HD can deliver.

Extras are detailed and fairly extensive – as much as a fan would want, and more than the casual viewer will wish to wade through.

As to the movie: well, genre piece though it remains, Downey, Paltrow and Bridges give it a textured, quirky feel that enchants. Kudos to Favreau for his casting and script. Roll on Iron Man 2!

One of the best high def transfers you'll see to date,what makes Ironman so compelling is the return of Robert Downey Junior,after the hardship he has suffered in his personal life this movie surprised the world with his performance,he brings an incredible performance to the role of Tony Stark,with all the rumours floating around suggesting he will not return for the much avaited sequel heres hoping the rumours are just that,sometimes its just not right to change an actor who has made such a role his own.
