5 stars "Awesome"

Played a hired copy at my mates and I would have to say that this is the best halo game since Halo 1. Heaps of new features and more weapons are really going to help make this game legendary. Great work bungie this is much better than Halo 3!

5 stars "Best Halo game - sadly the last one!"

Halo Reach is the last Halo game from series creator Bungie. Well it may be their last, but it is one heck of a game.

Graphics: The graphics are very much improved over Halo 3's and features a lot of nice textures and art work. The Elites alone have over 8 different skins. It's important to note that the art work overshadows Halo 3's.

Gameplay: Gameplay has evolved quite a bit from Halo CE to Halo Reach and while Reach came before Halo CE, the game play bears quite a bit of similarity to Halo 3 except for the addition of armour abilities. These change the game play quite a bit (for the better) adding a layer of strategy. The pacing is excellent and firefights are great – very chaotic.

Firefight: Firefight 2.0 as Bungie has called it is very much more fun filled out with 7 different modes compared to Halo 3 odst's one mode – overall a very good addition.

Multiplayer: This is the game mode everyone will play at least once with excellent matchmaking and widely varied maps. Plus the new armour abilities add more to the overall experience.

Campaign: The campaign is the best in the series with a very satisfying ending and a vastly improved story that has multiple characters (Jeorge noble 5,Kat noble 4,Emile nobel 3,Carter noble 1,Jun noble 2) and you as your own character – noble 6. The 5 other characters provide depth and emotional weight to the story.

Overall, Halo Reach can be played and enjoyed by Halo fans and new comers.

5 stars "OMG SO BRILLIANT! "

Halo Reach is everything a Halo fan has ever dreamed for. All that was lacking from previous Halo games is here and then some. This is Bungie's love letter to their fans and they've definitely gone out with a bang.

5 stars "Quite possibly the Game of the Century"

After spending all day playing every aspect of Reach, I am still hooked on every single aspect of the game. Campaign is fun, with the legendary difficulty being incredibly complex. Forge is incredibly fun and much more improved over Halo 3's. Firefight is just superb, with so many customisation options its ridiculous. Not to mention the matchmaking, which has so many different game types, and it is very fast in finding a match with Aussies or fellow Kiwis, meaning non-lag games. Overall, this game goes far beyond what any game this year, possibly this decade, has ever gone in terms of quality as well as quantity. Must Buy!

Halo: Reach,” developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by acclaimed developer Bungie, is the blockbuster prequel to the best-selling Xbox franchise of all time. It represents the culmination of Bungie’s 10 years of experience crafting groundbreaking “Halo” games that have raised expectations for what can be achieved in a video game.

In “Halo: Reach,” players experience the fateful moments that forged the “Halo” legend. It’s the story of Noble Team, a squad of heroic Spartan soldiers, and their final stand on planet Reach, humanity’s last line of defense between the terrifying Covenant and Earth. This darker story is echoed by grittier visuals amid a backdrop of massive, awe-inspiring environments. Characters, enemies and environments are rendered in amazing detail by an all-new engine designed to deliver epic-scale encounters against the cunning and ruthless Covenant.

Once the campaign is over, the battle continues online with an unparalleled multiplayer experience that expands on the award-winning suite of features that helped define the Xbox LIVE experience.

  • Meet Noble Team. For the first time, players will fight alongside a squad of iconic Spartan soldiers, each with deadly talents as unique as their individual personalities and customized gear.
  • An intense campaign. Live the events that set the stage for the “Halo” trilogy as the UNSC and Covenant clash at the height of their military power. New weapons and abilities complement the familiar “Halo” arsenal for the largest-scale battles ever witnessed in the “Halo” universe. Fiercely cunning artificial intelligence (AI) adds depth and complexity to each encounter, helping make every play-through a unique and epic experience.
  • Stunning technical advancements. “Halo: Reach” takes a massive leap forward through all-new engine technology designed to take full advantage of next-generation graphics, audio, special effects, AI and animation while continuing to expand on the campaign, cooperative and multiplayer sandbox in a way that only “Halo” can.
  • The definitive multiplayer experience. “Halo: Reach” builds on the success of its predecessors, setting a new standard for competitive gameplay, customization, variety and community integration.1
  • Unparalleled feature suite. “Halo: Reach” expands on the industry-leading suite of features found in “Halo 3,” including four-player cooperative campaign play, split-screen support, saved films, screenshots and exciting new surprises that have yet to be revealed.
