Description

When an alien race discovers that Jean Grey - once (or perhaps future) host of the destructive Phoenix Force - is back on Earth, they decide to hold her accountable for the genocide committed by Dark Phoenix! Now, it's up to the spacefaring Guardians of the Galaxy to help the All-New X-Men save Jean from twisted intergalactic justice. A surprise ally from one character's past arrives to help but will that be enough against the most powerful army in the universe? Collecting: Guardians of the Galaxy 11-13, All-New X-Men 22-24

Author Biography

Award-winning comic-book creator Brian Michael Bendis is one of the most successful writers in the industry today. As well as an acclaimed run on Daredevil, he has helmed a renaissance for Marvel's popular Avengers franchise and written the event projects House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege and Age of Ultron. Bendis is one of the architects of Marvel's Ultimate line of comics, having written every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man since its launch in 1999 and introduced the multiracial Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales, to international media fanfare. Sara Pichelli worked in the animation industry as a storyboard artist and character designer before taking a chance on the comics business. After breaking in in her native Italy, she worked as a layout assistant for David Messina on Star Trek for IDW. In 2008, she was one of the winners of the Chesterquest international talent search and has since worked for Marvel Comics on such titles as NYX, Runaways, Eternals, X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back and Namora. Award-winning artistic chameleon and Marvel Architect Stuart Immonen began his comics career in 1988, having worked for most of the industry's major publishers including Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image in the quarter-century since. For Marvel, in addition to 2011's Fear Itself event, he has illustrated such high-profile series as Ultimate Spider-Man, Mighty Thor, Incredible Hulk, Avengers and the cult favourite Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. Artist David Marquez began his career fresh out of college as an animator on Warner Independent Pictures' 2006 film A Scanner Darkly. He made his comics debut in 2010 with the graphic novel Syndrome, published by Archaia Entertainment, for which he received a Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award nomination. He has since gone on to draw Magdalena for Top Cow Productions; and Secret Warriors, Fantastic Four: Season One, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, All-New X-Men and Avengers A.I. for Marvel. Marquez lives in Austin, Texas, where people do indeed ride horses to work.
