This game has good things and bad things to it. What's good is there are a nice number of characters (not as many as there could be but still), the graphics are decent and better than previous instalments, there are more moves you can pull off and controls are quite good (although it takes time to get used to), and the fighting is like it was in the previous dbz tenkaichi games.
What could have been improved on was that there wasn't an actual story mode, instead it was replaced with galaxy mode where you choose a character and go through a series of fights with virtually no background, however galaxy mode is still fun as there are plenty of things you can unlock and can play as any character. Just if they also put in a story mode would have made it that much better. Also for some reason the “lock on” feature is missing so don't know if this has been completely taken out but it does feel weird not having one. The music in the game is ok but the music the plays on the main selection screen is annoying (personal preference I guess). Also if you are one who likes to go through the museum you don't get shown a character model, just a picture and the voices. But this still isn't bad.
Overall this game could have been better, in some way it is just another dragon ball game (nothing too special) but its still fun to play plus there are a couple of bonuses like the eradicate the saiyans movie. Don't get me wrong, im not saying this is a bad game, im saying if there were improvements made on it then it would probably the best dbz game ever. So it isn't as good as budokai tenkaichi 3 (which is my favourite) but probably the best so far on ps3 and xbox 360 and I've had lots of fun playing this single and multiplayer. Great gameplay. Great visuals. I'd say 8 out of 10. If you are a dragon ball fan and want a game, i'd recommend this one. Cheers
