"Brilliant Game and Gift"
5 stars"

A really great game. I've had it for some time and I can keep going back to it. Lots of goals for you to complete. Controls are really easy to learns. I recommend you play this before Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 as it is less confusing and explains a lot. Playing as multiple characters with individual moves is fun. Perfect gift for someone who has the same taste in games as yourself.

"A Brilliant Lengthy Game"

This is an interesting game as it puts a spin on the usual style of Final Fantasy by making it a 3d fighting game yet it still retains the usual depth of customization and other Final Fantasy goodness.

One of the best things for me was the fact that it is extremely long. Thanks to trying to complete each character's story I have barely brushed the surface of this game.

The combat system is interesting and requires skill and planning with less button mashing than other fighting games such as Tekken. This with the extensive customizing of characters allows for a greater control over your characters style of play.

Only two downsides to this game for me and they don't outweigh the pure awesomeness of this game. First the developers have put a lot of cut scenes in allowing for an in-depth storyline. This unfortunately means slightly less quality in this area of the game.

The other is it is hard to understand some of the customizing options. I suggest read all of the manuals in the games about accessories and just in general if you have not played before. Once you have mastered this the game makes more sense and it will help gameplay much more.

All in all I thoroughly recommend it to most people especially those who have enjoyed the Final Fantasy series and are looking for a bit more real time combat in their game. It is certainly something more for those who play other fighting games. Enjoy.

Review by IGN

There's absolutely no way I can fully describe and discuss all the systems and details in the Dissidia Final Fantasy experience as this game is massive. All you need to know is that the battle's are engaging, there's plenty to unlock/customize and this is a very well-made game.

Although non-Final Fantasy fans might be uninterested in this title, I still recommend it to every PSP owner out there. Knowledge of the franchise is fairly unimportant (though it does enhance the in-jokes and series references) and the characters stand on their own as enjoyable members of a solid fighting game roster. Even if this game didn't occupy the Final Fantasy universe, the amount of content you're getting on one UMD is mind-numbing and well worth the investment. And ultimately, this game is a touching tribute to the franchise and a great reward for devoted fans. Don't miss it.

IGN RATINGS FOR DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY (PSP)
9.0 Presentation
An incredible amount of content comes packed on this UMD, with a great set of features and modes. Story could have been better told, but overall experience is outstanding.
8.0 Graphics
Although I would have liked to see more CG cutscenes and better facial animations, this is a very good-looking PSP game.
8.5 Sound
Disappointing voice acting (though some performances are great). A phenomenal soundtrack filled with classic Final Fantasy arrangements and some stunning original pieces.
8.5 Gameplay
An engaging, RPG-inspired battle system with a great cast of classic characters. Customization options are immense.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
I can't even begin to imagine how much time I could sink into this game. A host of unlockables and rewards will keep players happy for a long, long time.
