I truly love this Mini PC idea! Small and compact, works straight out of the box. You can’t get any easier than this. Just plug your SmartVU-mini into an HDMI port on your TV and you are off. Built in Wifi and I am able to stream movies to my TV instantly. Would recommend for anyone not wanting to spend big bucks to get a “Smart TV”.
Installation is easy and quick. Setup is simple. Downloads and runs Android apps as advertised.
Now for the bad news:
Impossible to view streaming movies in full screen without the status bar at the bottom.
Poor network performance even when 3 metres away from the router means that it can't stream HD movies from your home DLNA source.
I guess it's good if you want to play Angry Birds, but for a home theatre device it fails miserably.

To use the Internet features the SmartVU-mini does need to connect to a Wifi network. If you do not have a Wifi network connected to the Internet in your home, you can still use the media player functions from a USB drive or microSD card.

The sweet and simple remote for the SmartVU-mini makes it easy to operate. Not
only does it act as a standard remote control, but also as a handheld mouse
pointer, making it easy to navigate around apps or even to play games.
