"Easily the best thing I've ever played."

As far as “moneys worth” goes, this game is hours upon hours of gameplay that will keep you engrossed for a long time.

There is so much to discover in the game. From the countless weapons to find and master, the lands and it's denizens to explore and overcome, and the merciless bosses to conquer.

But be warned, this is not a straight forward hack and slash. Surviving in Dark Souls takes great skill and patience. If you are one that likes to learn about every tiny bit of your games, I'm talking game mechanics and such, this game will be an obsession. It is hard if you don't pay attention, but with every death you learn and improve, and when you get the hang of the game, it's very rewarding.

Every boss in this game is like doing the LAST BOSS in any other game… I'm 32 hours+ into it (over the last week) and it only gets more and more amazing. Nothing has ever given me a sense of accomplishment like the challenges in Dark Souls.

This is a true survival horror game in every sense of the words. The world of Dark Souls is a eerie, god forsaken place… Filled with all kinds of nasties that look like the worst kinds of nightmares given life.

Dark Souls will scare you, thrill you and kill you over and over again… But you will come to love the punishment and strike back harder every time you go down.

Buy it and play it!

"The return of something great."

For many people Demon's Souls went under the radar – released in Japan months before Western regions. When it came to Western regions it wasn't expected to but did extremely well. So the developers this time around (cause of their awesomeness) brought the game to all regions on both platforms!

Dark Souls is hard, so hard you will want to stop playing cause you can't be bothered playing for 2 hours to get back to where you were because it's so so hard! The game is rewarding and you have such a sense of victory when you defeat a boss. Love that feeling! Just don't die too often – the more you die, the harder all mobs are when they respawn.

Being an RPG leveling up and enhancing your armor is vital, and the numerous NPC's along the way are extremely handy to befriend.

Dark Souls is definitely one for the more persistant gamers, the gamer that actually finishes the games he buys, as you will celebrate when you complete this.

I'm expecting at least 50hours gameplay in this game, as with the last one which was 80ish hours.

The multiplayer feature is unlike anything I've played before, with the ability to leave hints and messages on the floor for other gamers, see the ghosts of others playing in the same area as yourself and the ability to be summoned into or invade others worlds make it really exciting :)

If you didn't play Demon's Souls don't worry, this will be just as daunting and difficult to play – and you will love it!

"A must have, no excuse."

Totally slick, hypnotically addictive and tough but awesome. Just like Demon's Souls, Dark Souls pushes you to learn your many foes' moves, grow your own gaming skills, and strive for that endorphin rush.

A lot of things in the previous game didn't make much sense, death and storyline-wise. But in Dark Souls' consistent and seamless world, it all feels much more natural.

Combat hasn't changed much at all, really. 95% of the weapon move sets are exactly the same. Except most weapons now have a forward power strike in addition to the usual one. Magic now uses charges which get replenished. But battle will still have you on the edge of your seat, tense and attentive, as the stakes are high. Oh and you can also leap now.

The world has really captured a sense of a quietly epic environment. The atmosphere isn't quite the same as the last game, but has a new melancholy feel. You're encouraged to explore, scavenge and level up as you please, which feels great.

So Dark Souls is a more refined, refreshed, challenging game. If you liked the last game, this is a must buy, it's truly amazing. You don't need to have played Demon's Souls though, it's ideal for newcomers. You just pick your Character Class, customize his/her look, then you're off on an epic adventure.
