"Steven king horrors make you think while scaring you"

I enjoy Stephen king movies and novels as they are true to each other

"Creepy classic horror based on a Stephen King short story"
4 stars"

The ‘Children of the Corn’ was a very scary movie indeed.

The opening scene where the children of a deadly cult turn on the adults in a cafe and murder them was very chilling. Good tension throughout the movie as a young couple try to make sense of what has happened to the town of Gatlin.

The 2 sequels that followed were very poorly made and it seemed as though no thought was put into them. The acting was awful in the second and third part.

Description

Children of the Corn is the horror film based on the story of the same name by Stephen King. Packaged together for the first time with the sequels The Final Sacrifice and Urban Harvest, this box set is a treat for any cult horror fan.

Children of the Corn
Starring: John Franklin, Linda Hamilton, Peter Horton. The chilling, blood-soaked horror that started it all. Based on the short story by best-selling author Stephen King, Children of the Corn is the first of a series of cult thrillers centred on the horrific happenings in the small farming town of Gatlin, Nebraska. On one seemingly peaceful Sunday morning, the children of Gatlin rise up and slaughter the adults of the town. Led by the maniacal young preacher Isaac (John Franklin), the children form a cult, murdering adults and intruders, and worshipping the malevolent driving force they name ‘He Who Walks Behind the Rows'. When young couple Burt and Vicky, (Linda Hamilton, Peter Horton) make an unplanned detour through Gatlin, they find themselves captured and marked as the fanatical children's next sacrifice. A terrifying and grisly assault begins as the couple try to escape the horror in the cornfields.

Children of the Corn II
The Final Sacrifice. Starring: Terence Knox, Ryan BollmanIn this second instalment, the gruesome and macabre tale of Gatlin's children continues. When the people of the nearby town of Hemingford discover the massacre of Gatlin's adult population, the quiet town is thrown into chaos. A flood of reporters descend, trying to get the scoop on Gatlin's shocking past. Among them is tabloid reporter John Garrett (Terence Knox), desperate to save his failing career by breaking the story of the bizarre murders. Meanwhile, many of the Gatlin children are taken in by the people of Hemingford to be reintegrated back into society, having no recollection of the murders they have committed. Before long, history starts repeating itself and the violent deaths of Hemingford's adults begin. Under the leadership of the orphan Micah (Ryan Bollman), a new cult is born and the meddling reporter John soon finds himself having to save himself, and his son, from the grips of the sinister force in the fields.

Children of the Corn III
Urban Harvest. Starring: Rom Melendez, Daniel Cerny. The murderous force rises again in this third chilling chapter of the Stephen King-inspired franchise. When corn farmer Earl Hutch is found brutally murdered in a field, his son Joshua (Ron Melendez), and adopted son Eli (Daniel Cerny) are placed with foster parents in Chicago. Finding themselves outsiders, Joshua attempts to fit into his new world. The strange and cunning Eli however has other plans. Soon the sinister boy preacher and emissary of evil has recruited many in his school into a cult. And so the seeds are sewn for the urban rebirth of ‘He Who Walks Behind the Rows'. With a new harvest and a new congregation, the time is right for retribution against the adult population. Let the harvest begin…
