A lot of fighting and it is very funny.
Lush trees rustle in the wind. Birds sing their songs with the morning sun, and the light shines upon flowers growing along the roads. A single path leads to a small house where a girl lives. Sophie is cheerful and bright, though somewhat absentminded. An ordinary girl you might find anywhere. However, she possesses one special power that the townspeople do not have. The mysterious power to mix several materials and create something entirely different: “Alchemy”… Unfortunately, she continues to fail at an essential skill, Synthesis. She reaches her limit, with no alchemy books to read, and no mentor to guide her. But one day, she encounters a mysterious book that can move and talk on its own accord.
The book claims to be the “knowledge” of alchemy itself. This encounter becomes a new beginning for Sophie…a new adventure in a world where nothing is the same. Set against a vibrant background reminiscent of a medieval European town the Atelier series' 17th instalment follows the exploits of a young novice Alchemist who discovers she is the owner of an enigmatic volume imbued with a soul. This Mysterious Book seems to hold all the secrets to the art of Alchemy knowledge and it goes on to become Sophie's mentor. As Sophie improves her Alchemy skills throughout the story she unravels forgotten memories, and eventually sets out to uncover the strange tale of the book's origin.
