I was looking around for a soundcard since I own a pair of Sennheiser headphones and a mate if mine said I wasn't doing it justice by using my onboard sound even though it could handle them. I was looking at getting an expensive soundcard since I spent quite a bit on the headphones, but my mate just told me to go with this soundcard here.
The difference between my onboard and this card is just non comparable. The cards audio is so much more powerful and has much better positional audio. The microphone input on this card also made my mic a lot clearer with less static and less EMI. And for less than $100, I don't think you can get anything better than this at this price point.
Definitely worth getting or at least looking into if you have a pair of headphones or a headset. Even if you have a cheap pair, this will make them sound so much better!
