APOLOGY ACCEPTED, the sophomore album from Derty Sesh, one of New Zealand Hip Hop’s most controversial rappers, is about to drop on Monday, February 20th.
As an artist who always tries to push the limits, Derty Sesh found himself at the centre of a media storm due to the controversial video for his single ‘Forever’, from his 2010 debut album, Sic Love.
The backlash to the video had a big impact on him, and his follow up album takes a more personal and introspective route where he tackles all of his personal issues with his trademark brutish honesty and raw emotional intensity.
“With this album I tried to answer a lot of questions surrounding me since the first album. The first album was an experiment, this album is me.”
APOLOGY ACCEPTED is a fine showcase of Derty Sesh’s lyrical skill, song-writing ability and production talent. The feature single ‘Let Me Go’ marks the progression in maturity for this talented and hard working MC. Check out the video here: www.youtube.com/watch?…
Some of the biggest names in Aotearoa Hip Hop and R&B feature on the album including Young Sid, Ethical (Kidz In Space), Sir T, Tyson Tyler, Jae’O and Erakah.
His debut self-produced horror themed album, SIC LOVE was received with critical acclaim upon release. His brand new sophomore album, APOLOGY ACCEPTED is produced by Kirk Harding and contains witty rhymes and catchy tunes.
‘Number 1’ the first single from the album has been well received by urban radio. Check out the video for this track below:
