Looks cool on a desk or as a backdrop. My kids pretended it was magic making the liquid shift upwards. Beware – it’s very delicate! Fine glass that’s easily broken. We bought a few to display at a Harry Potter party, various kids picked them up and one kid accidentally broke one of them just by squeezing it too hard. It’s a fun science toy that’s great value for money though, good for older school kids or supervised with little ones.
I fun but fragile toy to get students or friends thinking as the magic happens.

Hand Boilers are looped and twisted glass sculptures containing a liquid that will “boil” as heat is transferred from your bare hand. Simply hold the large bulb end in the palm of your hand and within minutes, your body heat will cause the liquid to rise. – Once out of your hands, it takes a few minutes for the liquid to cool down and return to the large bulb.
