You can't set up this camera without installing the app, and the Android app is still using the old permissions model that requires you to grant every permission up-front. These are the required permissions you must grant before installing the app: Device & app history (i.e. List of apps on the device), Identity, Contacts (full access to your contacts list), Location, SMS (can read and send text messages, potentially costing you money), Phone (same as with SMS except for phone calls), Photos/Media/Files (full access to every file stored on your device), Camera (can take photos without your permission or even knowledge), Microphone (again, can record everything you say even with the app in the background), Wifi connection info (name of your wifi network), Device ID & call information (allows access to your phone number). If you don't grant access to all of this information, you literally only have a paperweight. If you are OK with the app having access to all that and potentially sending to some unknown server, you might consider buying this. Otherwise, save your money and buy something better.
