When searching for large screen monitors this AOC model kept getting the best reviews. It has now replaced 2 24 inch monitors for me and I'd never want to go back to 24 again. The pixel size is similar to 24 inch so no scaling required. Instead of having to have a separate monitor in portrait mode for working on documents I just use one half of this monitor to see a full page in word. This frees up desk space and is easier to get things done. My ancient old 760 GTX is capable of driving the AOC so that was a bonus. Out of the box the colour looked over saturated, easy enough to pick different settings. I tried the recommended ones from pcmonitors.com of R 50, G 44, and B 45, the brightness needs turning down as well. I'm not sure why this is advertised as a gaming monitor when it is only half as fast as specialised gaming monitors. It does have game settings in the OSD but I don't think they are going to tempt an enthusiast. It is a very good all round monitor though and if you were wanting more real estate I'd recommend this over having 2 monitors. The stand is a bit tricky to get set up and there was a moment of panic when I wondered if it would break as had to use the force to connect it. While not height adjustable, I haven't needed to raise the monitor to feel comfortable. As it's big I find myself wanting to push it back as far as I can, currently about pushed it back about 800mm (32 inches) from me so it's easy to scan the screen without head movement. I really love this monitor, it's great value for money, it's not a perfect monitor hence the 4 star rating however it is perfect for me. Good job AOC and great job Mighty Ape for having the best price in the country for it!
