For the record, because I want to correct Mike, it's a lot less to do with it having “Xbox” etched onto it and a lot more to do with the fact that you know it's built for Xbox. Some hard drives, such as the hard drive I had, also made by Seagate, meets all of the requirements and still does not work. At least with this one you know it will work for the Xbox because that's what it's built for. Gosh, Mike, you do you're research!

Worth a buy! Good for any xbox console out there
This is a great idea! Finally a way to expand xbox hdd capacity! Nothing worse than having to pick between your fave games, which to keep which to delete! Then having to wait to re-install/update again!! Cant wait to get one!!
I think the people buy this for the xbox logo case
I bought a WD 2TB drive , as soon as you plug into your Xbox USB it prompts you to format the drive . Total set up time takes about 1 minute . You don't need an xbox logo on the side to have an external hard drive .IGN have a guide to whats the best hard drives for the XB1 depending on your budget and size required .do your research people !
