I'm so impressed with this monitor, bought for both PC and PS4 and its been great!
Even though its only 28" at 1080p, it has a ClearVision feature, which appears to be some sort of inbuilt upscale. I turn this on (just the “weak” setting on PS4) and it works a treat. Don't need it for PC.
Colours and brightness are excellent. Build quality is good but nothing flash, all that said it looks a lot less tacky than the shiny-bezel Samsung it replaced. The stand does the job, but it even has VESA mount holes in the back if you want to hook it up to a serious mount.
Speakers are “good enough” if you need them in a pinch, but recommend using the audio out.
Audio out (3.5mm) works well with HDMI and turns off the inbuilt speakers (as you would expect). Third button from the right brings up volume control for audio output or speakers.
Something worth mentioning is that the settings in the menu are confusing at first, turning certain things on will turn other things off in a different menu, so it takes a bit of getting used to! Obviously this isn't a huge deal once you have it dialled in as you like.
This monitor has turned me into an AOC fan. I find it quite hard to believe that someone would be unhappy with this monitor given the screen quality and number of features for the price. When I upgrade in a few years time AOC will be the first brand I look at.
