27" AOC Curved Gaming Monitor reviews

I doubt you'd be able to find another 1440p, curved, 144mhz, 1ms computer gaming monitor for just shy of $500 as of March 2020. After shopping around, and looking at other online reviews this monitor ticked all the boxes in terms of specifications, quality and price. I have not been disappointed. It did take some getting used to as I had stuck with my previous monitor for years and you need to take the time to find the settings that work for you to get the best out of this monitor. But a quick search online found a some helpful tips and tricks.

She runs nice, she looks good and my god do I love me some 144hz refresh rate. Though 1440p is a tad bit overkill, it is nice to have and looks better than 1080p even if most people wont notice the difference.

The monitor is fantastic in every way except for HDR. This monitor DOES NOT have HDR, it has HDR-like colour profiles, that are good.

Display is fantastic. Response time, colours and quality are all outstanding. It has several different modes and customisable settings to play how you want to play. This has to be one of the best monitors you can buy for this price range without doubling the price for a 4K monitor.

1 minor complaint; you cannot adjust the height of the screen on the stand and are left with around 20cm of clearance between the base and bottom of the monitor.

To take full advantage of the specs I would also recommend you have the hardware to match. While I wait to get my hands on a PS5 I’m using my PS4. Because this can barely run games at 50fps itself and match the display I’m not utilising the monitors full potential.

For the price it is really good, but if you are tilted by ghosting or are really picky about it then id say save some more money for a better monitor, it also isn't very bright either so :/

The monitor is massive and has a large, high quality display. I've had it for a month and it's been perfect for working, gaming and writing! Would recommend.

Solid Screen, Good Price

Monitor looks very good but unfortunately the pixel response time is pretty bad which makes fast paced games pretty weird feeling for people who are sensitive to that. Great for other purposes though, movies and general computer use feel great.

Dodgy back lighting, grey/brighter spots in dark areas most noticeably in the corners. Colors are decent.,

If your on a budget (like me) this monitor gives you some insane depth and FPS for a great price. Very happy with purchase.

Less than a week of using this monitor and it gets a vertical line down the left hand side. Reach out to customer support thinking it would be an easy exchange as I wasn't interested in refund. They said I would have to wait 2–3 weeks after they get the product before they can assist. Ridiculous after only owning it for a week and it cost over half a grand. Now left with no monitor until they make a decision. Wouldn't recommend.
