You see the words “Military Tested” or “MIL-STD” used a lot these days when discussing cases and screen protectors, so it only makes sense that we go into just what that means when it comes to keeping your devices safe.
What kind of protection can you expect? What goes into the testing process? And the question on everyone's mind: does this mean my phone case can stop bullets?
First of all, we should get this out of the way – no, no, your iPhone won't make you bulletproof with the right case (although that would make for an interesting, if not slightly underwhelming superhero…)
The Military Standard, with its impressive title, is simply a method through which various agencies can ascertain the strength of various items and pieces of equipment in any number of environments and conditions.
