The 2017 Emmy Awards were held on Sunday 17th September in
Los Angeles, California. The show was hosted by Stephen Colbert.
Noticeably missing from this years nominations were Game of
Thrones, much to the relief of the rest of the nominees. The awards were
largely dominated by popular shows, The Handmaid's Tale and Big
Little Lies alongside Veep
again taking out Best Comedy.

The 2016 Emmy Awards were held yesterday at the Microsoft Theater in Los
Angeles and was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The biggest winner on the night was The
People vs O.J. Simpson. Game of
Thrones once again took out Best Drama Series as well as Veep winning
Best Comedy for the second year in a row.
Other highlights included Aziz
Ansari winning an Emmy for writing an episode for his show Master of None
about his parents who were there in the audience. Also, those cute kids from
Stranger Things entertained the crowd pre-show and handed out peanut

The 2015 Emmy Award nominations were announced in Los
Angeles by Orange
Is the New Black star Uzo Aduba and So You Think You Can
Dance US host Cat Deeley. The ceremony is set to take place on
September 20 at the Microsoft Theatre in LA.
Stand out nominations this year go to Game of
Thrones with an epic 24 nominations in total, American Horror
Story: Freak Show with 19 and Mad Men with
it's final season scoring 11 nominations in total.
