Name our LEGO Gorilla and WIN a $1000 LEGO prize pack!
By Ben –
Check out this magnificent LEGO great ape that has found its way to Mighty Ape!
This wonderful creation is a bespoke model that was created by Ryan McNaught (of LEGO Masters fame) to be displayed in the Mighty Ape foyer! This was designed as a celebration of the LEGO/Mighty Ape relationship and how it has grown over the years. Comprised of 10,403 bricks, this great ape took 94 hours to build!
However, our cute LEGO friend does not have a name. That's where you come in; we need your best ideas for a name for our new LEGO friend!
Here's how it'll work:
- Firstly, let us know your suggestions – either here on this blog post, or on our Facebook post (limit one per person). Next week, we'll go through all of the suggestions and create a shortlist of 3 names that we LOVE.
- We'll create a poll and take votes for the names you like most!
- The winning name and prize winners will be confirmed on 01/03/22.
Prizes:
The creator of the winning name will WIN the Grand Prize of a $1000 LEGO
Prize Pack consisting of:
- 10290 – Pickup Truck
- 75314 – The Bad Batch™ Attack Shuttle 75314 | Star Wars – Lego
- 71387 – Luigi Starter Course Adventures Set
- 60294 – Stunt Show Truck
- 10698 – LEGO® Large Creative Brick Box
- 41687 – Magical Funfair Stalls
- 42111 – Dom's Dodge Charger
- 76387 – Harry Potter Hogwarts: Fluffy Encounter
One voter will also be selected at random to receive a $500 LEGO Prize Pack consisting of:
- 10281 – Bonsai Tree
- 21319 – Central Perk
- 76392 – Harry Potter™ Hogwarts™ Wizard's Chess
- 60302 – Wildlife Rescue Operation
As far as the names go, let's keep them friendly. Any names that we deem to be offensive or inappropriate will not be eligible for this competition.
So what are you waiting for? Hit us with those suggestions below!
P.S. We have just kicked off our HUGE Lego Sale – save 15% on our entire range of in-stock LEGO Toys AND nab a free gift with purchase of any LEGO set valued over $50
Name our LEGO Gorilla and WIN competition terms and conditions
- Entry is limited to New Zealand residents only.
- Employees, contractors and suppliers of Mighty Ape and their immediate families are not eligible for entry.
- The prizes are not transferable for cash or store credit.
- Prize value is based on full retail value.
- The naming segment of the promotion commences 1PM 14/02/22 and ends 1PM 21/02/22. Mighty Ape will then select the 3 finalists, and people will be able to vote for their choice (and to go in the draw for the $500 Prize Pack) from 22/02/21. This blog will be updated with a link to vote. Voting will then determine the Grand Prize winner.
- In the event that the winning name was suggested by more than one person, one winner will be randomly selected from the pool of people who suggested the same name.
- The prize winners will be contacted by email or social media.
- The prize winner must respond to Mighty Ape to claim the prize. If the prize remains unclaimed after 14 days, Mighty Ape will conduct a second chance draw. The additional draw(s) will follow the same process until the prize is claimed within 14 days.
