"Fun novelty item"
It's a fun novelty item. It works for short periods of time, but if you're planning to watch a movie, don't prop it where it might fall if the suction gives up.
"Don't buy if you have a hard case"
Chances are, if you have a hard case on your iPhone, this stand won't stick to it. If the suction cup can't get a good enough grip, it just falls off. When my phone didn't have a case, it was great though :)

When I first got the iPlunge I was skepitcal that it would even work, but there was no need to worry. When it arrived I was elated that worked so well even when I had a rubber case on my ipod. I also sometimes use it on my phone when I watch tv on it because it just has to have a hard surface. I also appreciate the fact that I can put my ipod upright or on its side.
