5 stars "Brilliant!"

Is there ever an occasion for which a jelly brain is not appropriate- Perhaps, but for all the others this mould is perfect. I love it.

4 stars "Not too bad =)"

My first attempt with the brain mould was a complete flop (heheh), but the next one worked out a lot better. Probably requires a slightly higher gelatin to water ratio for it to work as well as it does in the picture. DON'T LISTEN TO THE JELLY PACKET INSTRUCTIONS. More crystals, less water and it'll work a treat (tehehe).

Just add a few gummy worms to the mix for the ultimate maggot infested dessert treat.

5 stars "Who would have thought Jelly could be even MORE fun"

We found that one packet of jelly was no where near enough to fill the mould, also use less water and more Jelly mix Looks really cool with worm lollies in it too

5 stars "Bring out your ghoulish side with yummy brains..."

I've been on the hunt for a decent jelly mould for ages so this was a great find. It is the left hemisphere of a brain and reasonably realistic. I wasn't too impressed by the two recipes that came with this mould though, as I believe that they don't live up to its true ghoulish potential.

There are many wonderful recipes online, and I came across one called ‘Bleeding Brains Jello’ for a Halloween offering. I tried a simpler version with lime green jelly and a gooey filling of cooked blackcurrants. The end result was rather gruesome, but could have been firmer, because although the jelly did come out of the mould easily, it did split open slightly to reveal the fruity innards. As others have suggested, I will be trying 3 packets of jelly with the liquid for 2 packets in the next experiment. The jelly did come out of the mould really easily.

I am pleased with this purchase and will be trying out savoury creations as well, because this mould is fairly solid, I think that anything cold that is capable of being set in a mould would be perfect for this. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves food, has a sense of humour, and loves to try new things.

5 stars "Really pleased - love brains!"

Didn't realize it was half a brain, but the quality of the product was excellent – very sturdy. I followed the recipe on the packet to make a milky life-like brain and added raspberry sauce. The kids loved it!!
