3 stars "Could've been better"

I found this game a very bold step from THQ the makers of the WWE game franchise and quite a nostalgic tinge for me as I grew up in the 1980s watching some of the stars who are on this very game. THQ could;ve added more legendary superstars, divas & managers from WWE's rich and colourful history. The gameplay would've been deeper if they had more scenarios to relive, rewrite or redefine and a career mode as well. You should have a choice of control system of the LoW style or SvR style. At least my $100+ didn't go down the toilet and had the chance to import SvR 09 Roster into the game and made it more fun. If THQ makes a sequel it should have the suggestions mentioned in this review

3 stars "sceptical"

Honestly I'm really sceptical about the upcoming WWE project with THQ. With only two and a bit months till Wrestling's grandest night of the year WrestleMania XXV around the corner, I don't know how honestly will they stay true to the vintage WWE telecasts of the 1980s and 1990s and the roster lineup will ultimately determine whether this game is either a buy, rent or a complete miss overall.

3 stars "If you like wrestling or gamerscore"

Undisputably fun, has a full on wrestling expirence with the choice to ‘relive or rewrite’ the most important wrestling matches in history.

I personally enjoyed watching bonus wrestling footage, turns out its a world wild on wrestling out there.

2 stars "Meh"

This is a pretty bad game all round. Bad game play and the game never responds. But for 7.99 you really can't complain.

2 stars "Nostalgia Trip"

I bought this game on daily deal and wasn't expecting much. I was right, the game play is pretty terrible but I found myself playing it a lot purely for the nostalgia of seeing the old characters and reliving the famous fights. I think this nostalgia is what this game was designed arround; each fight in the storyline is a historical one and the object is to carry out historically correct actions during the fight. Each level also has some real life footage with it.
If you've ever been a professional wrestling fan this game might interest you

2 stars "Fun Game"

The game is fun when you have more than one player. The game has good features e.g following and reliving legendary parts of WWF and WWE history!

1 stars "Good for nostalgia but not much else."

A lot of care has been put in to this game to send the player into a nostalgic frenzy for wrestling's heyday. Unfortunately more time wasn't spent on the game itself. Instead of what could have been the wrestling game to end all wrestling games you have a clunky fighting system which turns into a series of quick time events, taking way too much control away from the player.

As I said earlier, this game is geared towards the nostalgia crowd. The wrestler's are shown as the towering he-men of our youth. Then after watch them move around for a while it hits you, these guys look ridiculous. The characters in this game look more like dolls being danced around the screens than the wrestling icons they're supposed to portray.

The game looks silly and is horrible to play. Avoid like the plague. Head to a shop and track down a copy of Smackdown vs Raw 2006 for a much more enjoyable wrestling experience.

5 stars "The Next Big Thing"

In one word I can sum up this game ‘fantastic’
game play is good you can learn the controls a lot quicker then you could with the Smackdown Vs Raw series.
Great Rooster and the best thing is you can import Smackdown vs Raw 2009 Wrestlers into your game to put New Guys against Old Guys great Story telling and great old video footage!
I give this game 100 out of 10.
